FRESHLOOK ILLUMINATE + LANEIGE : bloggers' event
Freshlook launched their new pupil-enhancing circle lens, and together with Laneige, threw makeover parties for journalists and bloggers, here at seen@dempsey.
Their very cool Colour Studio photobooth, which takes a photo of you and digitally changes your eye colour. The girls could "try out" their different coloured lenses and the new Illuminate.
Must be amused at how dramatic turquoise-coloured eyes are.
Valerie from CIBA Vision talked about how natural and effortless it is to enhance one's eyes with Freshlook Illuminate. The intention is to keep Illuminates a beauty secret; nobody should be able to put their finger on why your eyes look bigger and glossier.
Then the Laneige makeup artist explained the science behind Laneige's new eye-care mask. Taking care of our "apple zone", or the eye region, is important not only for the sake of beauty, but for health.
Then he did a live demonstration of natural, eye-enhancing makeup, on Evonne, the Freshlook ambassador.
Most girls are afraid of looking too heavily made-up on a regular day, or spending too much time on makeup in the morning. The makeup maestro explained that understanding our face shape would help us get ready in five minutes flat, and that with the right techniques and mix of textures, we could have naturally-enhanced eyes without looking old or over-the-top.

Then it was the bloggers' turn to get their makeovers! Each person was fitted with the right lenses by an optometrist.
Suhana Harith, CLEO's Next Top Blogger, happy with her Freshlook Illuminates and makeover
Dorothy from Fashionation, post-Illuminates makeover, still looking fresh and natural
Esther Xie from the Miracle Season blog
Altogether now!

IRON MAN 2
Impossibly cool gadgets and millions of dollars aside, what would arrogant, charismatic Tony Stark be without his flashy eyewear?
Sunnies in court make the man a rebel even before he gives the media the peace sign and announces court is adjourned.
Apparently Robert Downey Jr is a big fan of Initium eyewear and asked for them to brought in for himself and Hammers, his screen enemy.
Even irritants like Hammers need good glasses.
But really, what stole the eyewear parade for me were these tinted acetates that Mickey "Ivan Vanko" Rourke wore.

These are from Sama, the same eyewear brand that outfitted heroes in blockbusters such as MI:III, Miami Vice, and Terminator 3. The shades complete the look--how else would he be able to pull off bloodstains, a bird, matted hair and a toothpick, and still look so together?
